We welcome Fort McMurray evacuees

To the 20 or more people that have taken refuge in and around Stettler: Welcome.

GADSBY/WESTWOODS NEWS -- As heard across Alberta and throughout Canada, we support the evacuees from the city and surrounding areas of Fort McMurray. To the 20 or more people that have taken refuge in and around Stettler: Welcome.

Ty Eric Rajewski and Connie Rajewski are back in Fort McMurray after evacuating. They (Tristar Hydrovacs) are among the companies working with ATCO to restore power in Fort Mac. They are working 14-hour days trying to get things done. Ty's RV was miraculously still intact but he hasn't been able to get close enough to see if it was melted.

Happy Mother's Day to all. Fred and Velvet Entwisle, Nick and Haley and girls, Tom and Angela and girls, Kyle and Leigha gathered at Rochon Sands for a camp out and enjoyed the Mother's Day brunch there.
