We might vote for a councilor

Only a couple more days left in the playground program at the Botha Hall, the program wraps up this Friday. Donna Morris put together a great program for the kids this year they even learned how to play cricket.

The Seniors’ Centre has wrapped up another season of floor curling and carpet bowling as well as military whist; these activities will all resume in September.

Tuesday, July 21 will be the next bingo, doors open at 6:30 p.m. There are no church services at the Botha United Church in July, they will resume Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. starting Aug. 6.

Don’t forget the 100th anniversary service at 11 a.m. on Aug. 16.

The village may be having a by-election on July 27 if more than one person puts forward their name to take Jean Jackson’s seat on the village council.

If so voting will take place at the Botha Hall.

The Botha Community Centre STEP student is working hard, we will be concentrating on the painting of the hall exterior if Mother Nature allows. Also mark Sept. 26 on your calender as we will be hosting a “ Raise the Roof” fund raiser to help with the cost of improvements to the arena.

Belated happy birthday to Cody Morris, who just turned 5.
