We have a visitor on Friday, join yoga class

We would like to start this week’s article by announcing the marriage of the letters Q and U. On Monday afternoon, the Small Fries group joined library staff to witness the wedding of these two inseparable letters. Celebrations included alphabet stories, crafts and games.

In other news, we would like to remind patrons that the library will be closed Monday, Aug. 3 for the Civic Holiday. The Small Fries and Summer Spy Society will be cancelled for the day. Other programs will continue for the rest of the week.

On Friday, July 31, Alicia Tate will be visiting the Agent 009 to teach a yoga class. We remind all Junior Agents to dress comfortably in clothing that can easily be moved in. This is open to all children who are elementary school aged.

All clues for Operation Whack-A-Mole are displayed in the children’s section. Junior Agents who have missed programs are welcome to stop by and pick up the latest clue.

For more information about any of summer program times, group ages, or costs, please see our website at http://spl.prl.ab.ca/srp2009.html or contact us at 403.742.2292.

For the past week, Lisa has been hard at work rearranging our adult collection. Adult fiction is now located on the bookshelves that wrap around the walls of the library. Non-fiction has been shifted to the book stacks in the center. If you need further assistance, we’d be more than happy to help you find what you are looking for.

In closing, we would like to wish all of our patrons (and readers) a wonderful long weekend. Whether you’ll be spending the weekend near or far, we hope you have a lot fun. And remember the sunscreen.
