Warm weather is fine, but being a meal for mosquitos is not

In case there is any doubt, I agree we needed the moisture but just once couldn’t we just get rain.

Our windy days seemed to do some damage around town with a couple sheets ripped from the mural end of the arena as well as the loss of quite a few shingles from a number of buildings.

Many of us were out taking advantage of the warm weather, making a dent in that much needed yard work. Though I must say. as much as I enjoy the warm weather, I could have gone a bit longer without the mosquitos trying to make a meal out of me.

Carpet bowling continues Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. and floor curling Thursdays at 7 p.m. at the Botha Senior Centre.

They will be hosting Bingo on April 27, doors open at 6:30 p.m., everyone is welcome. The Old Time Dance Club will be kickin’ it up this Sunday, April 30 at 1:30 p.m. Be sure to check it out, there will only be a few more dances this season before summer break.

The Botha United Church is now holding worship at 9 a.m. on Sundays; this will continue through June with Reverend Susan Bowyer presiding.
