Visitors from Australia spend holidays with area families - Endiang Enterprise

We are off to the start of another New Year, hope those who made New Year’s resolutions for 2011 haven’t broke them already.

The atoms’ hockey team sponsored the New Year’s Eve dance in Byemoor this year as local folks rang in the New Year.

Dwight and Heather Tucker, along with Heath and Angie McCrindle of Red Deer, enjoyed a trip to Las Vegas prior to Christmas.

Travis James got home for Christmas from Australia, where he was working bringing in the Australian grain harvest. Seems Australia has been hit by a prolonged period of extremely wet weather making for a difficult harvest.

Also home for Christmas from Australia were Kent Kobi and Tamlin Reed, who live in Sydney, spending the holidays with Russ and Linda Kobi and family.

Byron and Linda Wilkie, Rob and Rhonda Maginn, Jim and Gwen Keith and their families all enjoyed a vacation to Disneyland through the Christmas holidays.

Les, Rosemary, Travis and Tyler Stulberg attended the Edmonton Oilers – Colorado Avalanche hockey game in Edmonton on Thursday.

Congratulations to Derrick and Katie Campbell of Hanna, who welcomed their third daughter Lyla Isabelle to the world on New Year’s Eve. Weighing 7 lbs. 4 oz., Lyla will be a little sister for Jorgie

and Scarlett. Congratulations to the local grandparents Lyle and Shannon Knowles and great-grandmothers Lois Ballinger and May Knowles.

Larry and Lorene Stulberg, along with Dick and Ann Creasey of Halkirk, have returned home from a trip to Jamaica.

The Endmoor Minor Hockey Association will be meeting Jan. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the arena. All parents of minor hockey players are urged to attend to gear up for the second half of the hockey season.

We send get well wishes to Debbie Tateson, Bruce Woelk, Leslie Wasdal and Diane (Green) Potter all taking cancer treatments in Calgary. We hope you are all home soon.
