Some more history about the Erskine Post Office: Minni Hanna took over the post office from Andersons and retired in 1961. At that time Bill Scotland built a small room in the corner of his store. When fire broke out, all the mail was saved and a temporary post office was set up in the butcher (I have no idea where that was). Bill then bought a two-room house from Mr. Bagshaw and moved it to Erskine. Bill retired in 1967 when it was taken over by Eva Summers.
