ERSKINE ENQUIRER -- There's lots going on in our community this Family Day weekend.
On Friday evening, Feb. 13, at 7, there will be a skating party sponsored by the Erskine Recreation Board. Come on out with the family and enjoy skating, hot dogs and hot chocolate.
On Monday, Feb. 15, there is the annual FunSpiel at the Erskine Curling Rink for the whole family starting at 11 a.m. As well, there will be games and bingo and other activities.
On Sunday, Feb. 14, the Erskine Seniors will be sponsoring their monthly Dance Jam at the IOOF Hall beginning at 1. Bring your Valentine and enjoy dancing, listening to the old time music and visiting. In honor of Valentine's, there will be a draw for prizes.
The Erskine Post Office will be closed on Monday, Feb. 15th.
There is no school on Feb. 15 or 16, so the kids will get an extra long weekend. The Book Fair begins on Feb. 23 and runs until Feb. 26 during school hours except on Feb. 23, when it will run from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. so parents will have the opportunity to go and browse the books for sale with their children. Any student bringing in their parent will be entered into a draw for $25 of free material. CARA curling is on Thursday, Feb. 25 in Coronation.
