Used book swap and sale

Stettler Elementary School Book Club will be hosting a Used Book Swap and Sale from Jan. 18 to 22 to raise funds for Grade 4 and 5 Book Club.

We are back to school after our Christmas break.

Stettler Elementary School Book Club will be hosting a Used Book Swap and Sale from Jan. 18 to 22 to raise funds for Grade 4 and 5 Book Club.

Proceeds will be used to support literacy in the elementary school. We are looking for donations of those gently used children’s books that are no longer being read at home.

For every two books contributed by your family, a credit of one book will be issued. Then during the book sale, any member of your family can come in and redeem credits for books at the book sale. Or books may be purchased at the sale for 25 cents each.

Credits can be earned starting now. In each entryway of the school, a drop box will be set up. Place your gently used books in a bag, include a paper with your child’s name and classroom and the number of books in the bag, and tie the whole thing up.

Drop your bags in the drop boxes anytime before Jan. 18. The book club members will empty the boxes regularly.

We welcome the following in gently used condition: children’s picture books, chapter books for youth, children’s magazines, comic books, and junior non-fiction books.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept: any used colouring or sticker books, badly damaged or scribbled-in books, previously discarded library books, adult materials or books for older readers.
