Uneventful return to school

hool started out with beautiful fall weather. Parents, students, and teachers got started with the routine without a hitch.

Thanks goes out to all the volunteers and parent council who helped put up the new playground equipment and installing the swings. Everything was ready for the first day of school and the children loved playing on the new equipment.

No school on Monday, Sept. 7, a break for Labour Day weekend.

The Grade 9 and 10s traveled on buses to Calgary for the World Skills competition event. They will be able to witness top students around the country compete in their individual trades and to see new and innovative ideas. This will be a great experience for these students and should help some decide what kind of skill or trade they might like to learn in the future.

Next Early Monday is on Sept. 21.

Birthday wishes goes out to Harry Neitz on Sept. 6.

Happy anniversary to Darrel and Marianne Baltimore on Sept 3, and James and Lorianne Nibourg, Sept 4.
