Volunteer members from Big Valley Historical Society, Kate, left, Sheriff Wyatt and Trudy, in period costume, are ready to greet the Alberta Prairie Railway train from Stettler July 8. The train trip lasts about five to six hours. This heritage trip re-enactment was carrying a payroll for the mine and is “robbed” by bandits on its way to Big Valley. The passengers onboard were “robbed” of their loose change, which is donated to a children’s hospital. (Lisa Joy/Stettler Independent)
