Traditional soap formula required in Botha

By Louise Bellair

As we rumble into another great school year, one welcomes back all children, teachers and staff (new and old). Wishing everyone a great and exciting school year. School opens for students on Sept. 1.

John and Jean Jackson had a very interesting and fun filled summer this year. Nancy Hundral and Scott Sanderson from Vancouver visited them. They also were visited by Scott and Donna Jackson of Clive one weekend. Then on Sunday Aug. 22, Sharon and Lindsay Strickland of Leduc were down to visit. Sounds like a great summer with lots of memories.

Congratulations go out to Dustin and Miranda Cown who had a baby girl on Aug. 25 at 3:05 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds. They named her ,Mykayla James. Welcome to this world, MyKayla. The proud grandparents are Murray and Hazel Davidson. The other set of proud grandparents are Larry and Marlene Derr. Congratulations, everyone. The proud great-grandparents are Frances and Clifford Cown and Jack Davidson and Ruth Neilson alongside Grace Selinger and Francis Hanson.

Anyone out there have a recipe to make old fashion soap? Could you please contact Mrs. Ada Church at 403-740-2450. This would very much be appreciated, thank you.

Into great exercise anyone? Rent the Botha baseball field and have a great game or two. Camping is also available. Contact Ken or Wendy at 403-742-2559 for reservations.

Botha Hall is also available at very reasonable prices for all size of parties. Please contact Marsha Mailer at 403-742-2559 for reservations.

Please join the group and come and have coffee with everyone at the Botha Seniors’ Centre, Wednesday mornings at 10 A.M. It’s a great and relaxing get together. Everyone is welcome.

A big thank you to everyone who donated to the Underwood Project. It is very much appreciated. If anyone would still like to donate, donations are still being accepted.
