Congratulations to Colin Woelk and Tammy Cooke who were married in a beautiful resort near Cancun, Mexico on May 1. Colin’s family travelling to Mexico for the wedding included his mom Debra Woelk and her companion Rob, his son Devon Woelk and his girlfriend Brooke and his brother and sister-in-law Chad and Kim Woelk. We wish the newlyweds all the best for a long and happy marriage.
Members of the Byemoor 4-H Beef Club, along with help from leaders and parents, participated in Highway Clean-up on Sat, May 6. They chose to clean Highway 589 between Byemoor and Endiang. A big thank you and kudos go to the group on a job well done.
I also noticed Highway Clean-up signs posted on Highway 855 south and Highway 851 south of Highway 589 so other groups were also cleaning those stretches of highway in our area. Hats off to all the groups participating in making our roadways cleaner.

With the dry conditions and amount of wildfires burning in the province, everyone needs to be extra cautious with fire and remember there is a total fire ban in the County of Stettler. Hopefully, we can get enough rain soon to reduce the fire hazard.
Humour for the Day —

“I had an appointment with my psychic for next week but she just called to cancel. She said I won’t be able to make it.”
“After dinner, my wife asked if I could clear the table. I needed a running start but I made it.”
