Well, thanks to mother nature I sure didn’t have to worry about mowing the grass this past weekend; as well the Multiple Sclerosis Walk in Red Deer was cancelled due to six inches of snow.
Dispete the snow our graduates including John Nafziger, Taylor Starling, Derek Mueller, Tyler Seyer, Ty Rajewski, Kendra Grams, Rique Dempsey and Bruce VanLanduyt looked fabulous on Saturday, it was a beautiful graduation ceremony held at the Settler Recreation Centre. We are very proud of each and everyone of you. As well, another safe grad was held successfully at the Botha arena. Many people were in attendance for Bryce and Verna Mailer’s 60th wedding anniversary celebration held at the Botha Hall this past Saturday.
Carpet bowling continues Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. and floor curling Thursdays at 7 p.m. at the Botha Seniors’ Centre.
They will be hosting Bingo on June 8, doors open at 6:30 p.m., everyone is welcome.
The Old Time Dance Club will be kickin’ it up Friday, June 11 at the Botha Hall, this will be the last dance of the season, dances will resume again in September.
The Botha United Church is starting joint services, June 6 will be held in Big Valley, June 13 in Botha and June 20 in Erskine with Reverend Susan Bowyer presiding.
Please note there will be no service for the month of July.
