Tell us your Donalda story

Donalda Gallery for the Arts invites you come and see their new exhibition, PART-ners “Rooks”, which runs until Labour Day. And we have more art by local artists upstairs in the old bank on Main Street.

Mark your calender for Sept. 19, and plan to attend the Museum’s fall supper at the Donalda Community Centre. Archaeologist and author Jack Brink will be the speaker, and there will be a silent auction, including one of the last known new copies of the local history book, Donalda’s Roots and Branches, which was published in 1980.

And don’t forget: if you or your family have ever lived in Donalda—for a week or a century—we would like to read your story. It is hoped that we will be able to collect enough stories to some day publish an update to Roots and Branches, but we can’t do it without you.

The Museum Society meets the fourth Tuesday of every month, at 7:30 p.m., at the Donalda Library. Why not come out and join us? We would like to hear your ideas about how the Museum should move into the future. The next meeting will be Aug. 25. Call the museum office, 403-883-2100, for more information about the museum or its projects.
