Just like that the first week of the Summer Reading Program has come and gone. Thank you to everyone who came out for our first Family Event, we sure had a blast at the bowling alley.

If you are interested in participating in events at the library but haven’t had a chance to register for the program, feel free to pop by the library. And don’t forget to call and pre-register for events as they tend to fill up fast.

On July 16 come down to the library for an epic dodgeball battle. This event runs from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. for ages six to eight and 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. for ages nine to 12. Also on July 16 is our teen cooking club, this week we will be baking animal themed cupcakes. Please call to pre-register. Love going to the movies? Perfect. On July 18 our family event will be a free movie at the Jewel Theatre where we will be watching Robots. Meet us at the theatre at 2 p.m.

Do you love Scavenger Hunts? Then we have the event for you. On July 19 meet at the library to find clues and test your sleuthing skills. This event will run from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. for ages six to eight, and 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. for ages nine to 12.

And don’t forget about our drop-in gardening club every Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. Come tend to the library’s garden while learning about how plants grow. All ages welcome, but ages five and under must be supervised by a parent.

Just for a quick update on read and rhyme. Unfortunately, this program ends for the summer on July 13 but will resume in September when Lindsay returns.

Need some advice on how to perfect your crocheting project? Crystal is here to help. She will be available to answer all your crocheting questions during the summer here at the library.
