The month of December is almost coming to a close here at William E. Hay, as the last student day of school is Dec. 17.

Last Wednesday, Dec. 1, we celebrated the grand reopening of William E. Hay. In attendance were various citizens that have been affiliated with our school, including our MLA, the Honourable Jack Hayden, Dick Richards, the mayor of Stettler, and Clearview School Division Superintendent John Bailey. After years of accommodating to renovations - including accidental fire alarms, leaking roofs, narrow hallways, improvised classrooms, and the incessant noise of hammering, drilling, and banging - I am proud to attend William E. Hay Composite High School and am extremely satisfied with the new facilities that are available to all students and staff.

Anne of Green Gables: The Musical Production was a tremendous success!

The large cast worked well together to provide a professional quality musical performance. The production was sold-out and received standing ovations. Congratulations to all cast members, and everyone who contributed to make this show a huge success!

The Wildcat automotive program is currently looking for used or broken lawn mowers to be donated for projects. The automotives program also offers excellent services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and minor auto repairs.

That’s it for this week, folks.
