Donations of adult fiction and non-fiction continue to pour into the Donalda Library. These books are being processed as they arrive and you will find something new on the shelves almost every week. Receive a free Donalda and area phone directory when you renew/purchase a Donalda Library membership. If you have already renewed or purchased a membership in 2010 and did not receive a directory, please feel free to stop by and pick one up.

Derek Mueller has been hired by the Donalda Ag Society for the Step position.

ABRA Jackpots have been cancelled until further notice.

The ag society would like to welcome Roberta Rouse and Morris Helmig to the board. The ag society still has an empty director seat. Anybody interested, please come to the next meeting on July 6 in the hall at 7:30 p.m.

Four youth from the area will be sent to the Co-operative Youth Program at Goldeye by the ag society. They’re sure to have a great time and we can’t wait to have a report when they get back.

The museum is now open daily until Thanksgiving. They still need volunteers to help maintain the schedule of public service. If you can spare just one weekend afternoon to volunteer, just give the museum a call.

Donalda and District Museum Society is in the process of gathering local and family history stories with an eye to eventually producing an update to the 1980 community history book, Donalda’s Roots and Branches. Whether your family was here for a year or a century, they would like to hear from you. Contact the museum office, or check the web site, www.donaldamuseum.com for more information.

The Downtown Donalda historical picture books have been hugely successful, with the second printing now sold out. If you haven’t got yours yet, don’t worry. More are on the way. Drop in at the museum and have a look.
