Stettler’s P and H Elevator Preservation Society hosted a successful pancake breakfast fundraiser on June 5.

The breakfast was put on by the volunteers of the society and admission was by donation which still managed to net the group around $1,500 after food costs were factored in.

“It was not bad at all,” said Stan Eichhorn, one of the volunteers of the society.

“We appreciate the community members coming out and making it a success.”

There was ample room for the 300 or so people who attended, with tables set up in the feed shed, in the drive through, and in the new construction at the elevator.

Outside, the volunteers demonstrated how to use a thresher, a gas-powered laundry machine and flour making.
