Grab a box, a package of Peeps and any other material that you need to create a wonderful scene and enter our Annual Peeps Diorama Contest! Final judging for the Annual Peeps Diorama Contest is March 31st so have your dioramas at the Library by Friday, March 30th. Good Luck!

Do your kids like to write stories? Join us for our Junior Writers’ Club starting on Saturday, March 17th at 10:30 am. Bring some paper, a pencil and your imagination and stretch those creative muscles!

Maybe you are creative in a different way. Join Crystal’s Crochet Club on St. Paddy’s Day at 1:30 p.m. to continue on with your blanket or try something new. Beginner and experienced hookers (wink, wink) are all welcome! Come and join in on the greatest and most delightful thing that you can do with yarn (in my opinion).

Do you love lamb stew with soda bread? Washed down with a pint of Guiness? Do you like to end the day with an Irish coffee or vanilla ice cream with a drizzle of Irish cream? Maybe you are more adventurous and like a plate of black pudding. If this sounds like you at all, why not test your Irish culinary chops by joining us for the Cookbook Club on Monday, March 19th at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome and bring your best Irish dish. Wearing green is optional.

You wanted it so you got it! More Pokemon! Starting Thursday, March 1st, the Pokemon Swap Meet became weekly from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Stettler Public Library is where you can find Pikachu and his friends.

Also during the month of March we are going to increase our Super Smash Bros. quotient.

Every Saturday at 12 p.m. we will be hosting two tournaments for all ages! Challenge your friends and come and join the fun at the Stettler Public Library.

Our last Film Circuit movie for the season is coming up fast so put Monday, April 2nd at 7 p.m. on your calendar. Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool stars Jamie Bell, Annette Benning and Julie Walters in this adaptation of Peter Turner’s memoir of the same name.

The film follows the playful but passionate relationship between Turner and the eccentric Academy Award winning actress Gloria Grahame in 1978 Liverpool.

What starts as a vibrant affair between a legendary femme fatale and her young lover quickly grows into a deeper relationship, with Turner being the person Gloria turns to for comfort.
