Stettler Health Foundation holds 6th annual charity golf tournament

The Stettler Health Services Foundation raised $4,000 for the Stettler Hospital and Care Centre.

The foundation held its annual charity golf tournament June 1 with about 50 golfers participating in Stettler’s 18-hole golf course.

“All proceeds support the emergency room and labour and delivery room renovations at the Stettler Hospital and Care Centre,” said Mary-Jane Jackson, one of the event’s organizers.

Two teams donned costumes. There were the ‘Ninja Turtles’ team consisting of Kim Connon (Red Deer nurse) Sarah Halverson (Stettler nurse), Tricia Wagner (Stettler nurse), Deacon Barclay, 11, and Katie Waine (Stettler nurse).

The hospital pharmacy staff also dressed up including Charlotte Chase, Megan Simon, Angela Bigney and Kim Salmon.
