Sports Day will be fun

Congratulations, Erskine Grade 12 grads who attended the graduation ceremony for Wm E Hay last weekend. The program included Sara Munden, who sang “Here I Am” with two fellow grad students.

Congratulations go out to Erskine school’s past students, Luke Austgarden, Tristie Baldwin, Brett Barros, Tim Faltin, Jennifer Marshall, Dylan McKay, Amanda McNeill, Sara Munden, Jon Nelson, Brett Nichols, Cam O’Neill, Tyler Peterson, Breann Sorensen, and Jenna Swan.

Carly Armstrong and Sara Munden were chosen from the Stettler Music festival as top performers to go on to provincials in Edmonton last week. They each sang a solo and came home with honours. Congratulations, girls.

Dylan McKay and Ricky Armstrong are off to provincials in track meet this week in Medicine Hat. They each won the 200 meter in the zone competition in Red Deer last week, which put them in contention for provincials this week. Good luck, boys.

Erskine sports day is coming up on June 19. The day will start at noon with the parade, followed by the Erskine Evangelical Free Church’s good neighbor BBQ, then a performance by Hot Diggity Dog, followed by games, ball games and the evening BBQ in the IOOF hall this year. Volunteers are needed for this fun day, so please come to the meeting on June 8 at the Waverly Club rooms to finalize all events.

Grades 4,5,and 6 will be attending the Big Valley track meet this year on June 3rd.

Grades 7, 8 and 9 will be attending Camp Gardner next week to enjoy many scouting activities.
