Special brunch at the hall Sunday

BOTHA BOOSTER -- Got anything exciting planned for your mom this coming Sunday, as it's Mother's Day?

BOTHA BOOSTER — Got anything exciting planned for your mom this coming Sunday, as it’s Mother’s Day?

The BCC Committee has planned a Mother’s Day Brunch at the Botha Hall that morning between 9 a.m -12 noon, so why not start your mom’s Mother’s Day with a fantastic brunch and a beautiful carnation? The BCC Committee is giving to every mother that shows up that day a carnation. They have a brand new menu also planned for that morning, so make sure you pick up your mom that day and bring her out to the fantastic breakfast at the hall that morning. They hope to see everyone out for this; one fantastic way to start their special day off for them.

Quilting takes place this coming Monday, May 9, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the seniors’ centre, so please join the group there that morning.

Bingo evening takes place May 11, so come on out and try out your luck, who knows, you could be one of the next big winners.

Every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m., come out to the seniors’ centre for a fresh hot cup of coffee with your friends.

One special gentleman in our area is celebrating his birthday today, Joshua Morris.

Happy birthday Joshua! Hope you have a fantastic day. Unfortunately we missed a birthday for another special guy in our area this past week: Neil Thorsteinson celebrated his birthday on April 24, last Sunday, so sorry about that Neil, I hope you had a fantastic one.

The last Sunday of May, make sure you come on out at 1:30 p.m. to dance to the music from the “Barbwire Band”. They are a fantastic group and there is no age limit, so make sure you keep this date open. This will be the second last dance for the season, (honestly) so you will not want to miss out for sure.

Looking for a reasonable hall to rent for your special occasion, with weddings and grad in the very near future this would be a fantastic hall to rent, so make your reservations now. Call Shaun Derr at 403-742-4811.

The Old Thyme Dance Club also does committee service, so if you would like some help with something please call Doug Haustein at 403-742-3994 or John Blonski at 403-574-2197 if you have any questions or would like to book them.

The transit station here in Botha is open every Tuesday from 1:30 p.m- 5:30 p.m. and again every Saturday mornings from 8a.m-12 noon. Hopefully this is convient for everyone.

There is one special evening booked at the Botha Arena on May 28 for the Grade 12 grads. They will be holding their safe grad there that evening, so I ‘m wishing them a lot of fun that evening , you deserve it, but please play it safe that evening and make sure you attend (all grads).

In closing, I would like to wish all mothers out there a fantastic day for this Sunday. Happy Mother’s Day, everyone!
