Snow is quite OK, but cold is not, don’t miss New Year’s Eve dance

I can’t say I like this change in the weather, as I have stated before, the snow is O.K but this sudden cold is the pits. It stinks that the kids are stuck at home and can’t play in all this new snow.

The Botha Senior Centre continues with carpet bowling Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m., floor curling is Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., there will be no military whist until January, as well they will be hosting bingo on Dec. 8, the doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The Old Time Dance Club is kickin’ up their heels Dec. 11, this is their Friday evening dance.

The Botha United Church continues to hold worship at 11 a.m. on Sundays. There will be a Christmas Eve service on December 24 at 5 p.m. and no service on Dec. 27.

Just so you know the Botha school Christmas concert will be Dec. 16 at the Botha Hall. There will be a New Year’s Eve dance at the Botha Hall this year, so be sure to mark it on your calender.

Our deepest sympathies are extended to Flo Iskiw’s family and friends at her sudden passing on Dec. 2. Services were held Saturday at the Stettler Funeral Home, she will be missed by all who knew her.
