Hats go off to the students of the Byemoor School who were out and about the hamlet of Byemoor on Thursday, May 18 picking up garbage and doing their part to make it clean and tidy.

We extend sympathy to Luke and Tania LaRose on the passing of Luke’s father Art LaRose of Stettler on May 16 at the age of 64 years. Our thoughts are with the LaRose family in their sad loss.

Congratulations to the graduates of J.C.Charyk School in Hanna. The graduation exercises were held on the weekend. Although none of the graduates were from Endiang or Byemoor this year, there were a number with connections to the Endmoor community.

They included Reeve Buchwitz, grandson of Dan and Verla Buchwitz; Makenna Boehlke, granddaughter of Marilyn Boehlke; Mareena Hein, granddaughter of Gordie and Roxy Gallagher and Quinn Peters, granddaughter of Gary and Dolores Pearson.

Congratulations to Wendy (nee Wasdal) Bignell and Amer Jamal who will soon be opening their own business in Stettler. They purchased the former Wares Jewelers building on Main Street and plan to open Stettler IDA Pharmacy there in July 2017. Good luck with your new venture Wendy and Amer.

Ken and Eleanor Schultz hosted their annual Victoria Day long-weekend camping get-together at their farm. Several guests came with their RVs to enjoy the Schultz’s hospitality and great weather for the first camp-out of the season.

Get well wishes go out to Florence Tucker who was a patient in the Hanna hospital. Hope you are feeling better now, Florence.

Rob, Rhonda and Hunter Maginn spent the long-weekend in Saskatchewan, at their cabin at Fishing Lake.

The wild Saskatoon bushes are blooming profusely around the countryside. Barring any frost, they should produce a bounty of berries.
