Seniors hold floor curling ’spiel

Twelve teams from Halkirk, Castor, Stettler, Endiang, Botha and Alliance entered Valentine’s Day floor curling bonspiel. A good time was had by all with the team from Stettler coming out in the lead.

Two teams entered the CARA junior high curling in Coronation on February 14. Shayla Schilling, Shane Neilson,Wyatt Kent and Twyla Sheffield were on one team with Katelyn Dahmer, Paden Williams, Morgan Kent and Simon Muncy on the second team. Unfortunately, Simon sprained his ankle and was unable to play.

On Wednesday, both the boys and girls basketball teams played against visiting teams from Brownfield having two very close games.

Congratulations to Falyn Broderson, who was married to Nick on Feb. 11 at her parents, Lloyd and Joanne Broderson, home near Airdrie. Sandy and Shirley Broderson were able to attend. The couple reside in Daysland.

Get well wishes to Murray Morlock who is a patient in an Edmonton hospital.

We are pleased to hear that Phil Doan is home from Red Deer hospital after a subtle warning.

Our sympathy to Justin and Renee Fowler on the sudden passing of Renee’s dad, Ray Perrault in Prince Albert, Sk. Last week.

We send sympathy to Pattie and Steve McKnight and family on the passing of Patti’s mom, Viola Harrison in Vernon, BC on Feb. 6.
