This coming Sunday afternoon, come out to the Botha Hall for a great time, and enjoy the music of the West Lake Echoes band. It’s a great band to listen and dance to.
The afternoon dances start at 1:30 and there’s no age limit, so everyone can take in the fun. There are only four dances left before the summer break, so make sure you make it out to these. There’s also a pool luncheon, and all are asked to bring buns/sandwiches or dessert to share with them.
On Tuesday, April 30, come on out for one fun and exciting evening, starting at 7:15, to the Botha Senior Centre and enjoy a game of early-bird bingo. The jackpot has not been won for quite a while, so come out and try out your luck.
The Botha School is now accepting registration for 2013-14 kindergarten and playschool classes. Stop by the school or phone to get your child registered.
The school extends thanks to the Stettler library for providing an interactive program for both parents and children. It’s in the kindergarten room at the Botha School from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. every Thursday, for children five and under. This program is fun for this age group.
Zumba classes are held every Tuesday and the Booty Bounce and Cardiovascular classes are each Thursday. Both are held at the Botha Hall at 7 p.m. They have lots of fun, and it’s great exercise for everyone. For more information, contact Callie Turnigan at 403-741-8303.
Coffee hour is always on at 10 a.m. Wednesday and everyone is invited to attend. It’s a great place to relax away from your busy schedule and to visit. Then the same day, starting at 1 p.m., they encourage everyone to play a game of carpet bowling with them. It’s a fun day around Botha area, and they would love to see everyone attend both activities.
All are called back to the Senior Centre for a fun-filled afternoon on Thursdays for a challenging game of floor curling. It starts at 1 p.m.
Quilting takes place Monday, April 29, and organizers would be happy to see all quilters and anyone interested in the craft to come out at 9 a.m. for an enjoyable day. They have made some beautiful items at the Botha Senior Centre gathering. The final day probably depends on this “stupid” weather and when the farmers can get back to their fields.
Don’t forget about May 6, the date of the monthly Botha meeting. The meetings are usually held the first Monday of each month. Organizers hope all seniors are able to attend. The meetings start at 11:30 a.m., with a pot-luck lunch, so please bring something to share. The meetings are held at the Senior Centre. The meeting will follow right after the luncheon, so hopefully everyone can attend.
On Sundays, starting at 9 a.m., come out and take in Rev. Susan Bowyer’s sermon. All are invited.
