It’s been a beautiful week so hopefully all the crops will be in before the weather turns bad again.

Congratulations to Scott Douglas who attended the auctioneers convention in Calgary and is now the vice president of Public Relations. Scott is one awesome young man who has never let his being in a wheel chair stop him from his ambition to become an auctioneer which he loves to do. Scott has auctioneered all over Alberta.

Congratulations to Kelly Armstrong who has made Life Champion in Mojilife. She was one of the few invited to the Synergize Convention in Salt Lake City and had a wonderful time there.

Francien Verhoeven, our local artist, was teaching and supervising the Fundraiser for Stettler Refugees. There was a great turnout for it.

Magazine sales for the Erskine School began today, Oct. 4. If you need someone to call on you with the list please phone the school at 403-742-5220. There will be no school on Friday, Oct. 6 and no school on Tues. Oct 10 for Thanksgiving Day. Awards night for the Grades 5 to 9 will be held on Thursday, October 26.

Vada Peters is selling Girl Guide cookies (the awesome mint kind) in Erskine and they are also available at Sherry’s Scrap’n Shop. This is their major fundraiser for the year.

The Erskine Curling Club is looking for curlers for the ladies and mens leagues. As well there is a mixed league on Friday nights until Christmas and a super league until Christmas. Anyone interested can phone Shelby Kobi at 587-282-0345 or 403-742-5301 or call Kelly Volkers at 403-741-4034.
