Scrapbooking days go on

Despite the flickering power, which has been threatening for the past 12 hours, I’ve managed to process my news.

Merle Gordon has just returned home from a few days spent with relatives in and around Shelbrooke and Turtleford, Sask. While there Merle went on-line and visited his cousin “face to face” in Norway. Plans are underway for them to come to Canada for a visit this summer.

Rick Shepherd and family members went to Calgary to watch the Philadelphia-Calgary hockey game last weekend. Then Wednesday to Edmonton to take in the Edmonton-Philly game.

Birthday greetings to Tammy Hronek, Frank and Eleanor Dahlgren. Elva McAlister joined Darcy, Tammy, Kayla and baby Luke at their home Friday evening for a family supper.

The annual family Valentine’s dance was held at the Gadsby Community Hall with a good crowd in attendance.

Birthday greetings also go out to Glen Chick who celebrated his 80th birthday this weekend.

Helping Shirley Reynolds celebrate her birthday on Saturday were Maxine and Joe Hansel, Harry and Doreen Martin, Bill and Joyce Hansel, Karen Reynolds and family, who all came to Gordie and Shirley’s throughout the day. Happy birthday, Shirley.

Alisa Glasier hosted another successful scrapbooking day at the Gadsby Bank Building on Saturday. Anyone who has not been able to attend one of these days needs to take the time and come to the next one. It is a fun way to spend the day.

And don’t forget the cash bingo Feb. 20 at the bank building. More details next week!
