Scholarships on offer for graduating students

Congratulations to our provincial champs!

All bands grades 5 to 12 will be participating in festival on Friday, April 15. Come and support your local band kids. New Orleans students need to have their final payment in by Thursday, April 14.

The drivers' training sign-up sheet is in office. This is your last chance to sign up before September. Stettler Indoor Triathlon is on Saturday, April 16. Sign up at the office, Performance Physio, Thrive 360 and the Rec Center.

Our school has had a business approach them looking for a receptionist from April to mid October. The job is Saturdays only from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pay is $13 an hour for eight-hour days. If your child is good at answering the phones, customer service, filing and general office work, please contact the school.

It is that time of year, scholarship time. Students are invited to apply for one of two $6,000 scholarships – C.S.T. Consultants Inc. Guruparan and Winsor Scholarships. These scholarships are available annually to two Canadian citizens who are academically gifted, well-rounded and will be pursuing their first undergraduate commerce/finance/business degree/diploma at a recognized post secondary institution inside or outside Canada. This program is aimed at those students whose parents/guardians do not have a post-secondary education or received their post secondary education outside of Canada. The FarmHouse Fraternity near U of A offers the Trent S. Bouchard Memorial Scholarship of $500 awarded annually to one male student enrolling in their first year of studies at University of Alberta, in hopes of furthering the education of today's youth. Trent was an outgoing, hardworking and widely involved member of FarmHouse, as well as other organizations such as U of A Agriculture Club. Men showing similar qualities will be good candidates for the scholarship.For more information on the above scholarship or housing at the FarmHouse Fraternity; please see Ms. McMillan.
