This week I’ll start with birthday wishes to Tyler Bauman Feb 11, Amanda Gardner Feb 12, and Ken Haight Feb 12.

This past week, parent council sent out a survey for parents to fill out about getting a sign for Erskine School.

The Erskine rec board has been thinking about putting up a community sign to post coming events. They had some money raised for the school playground, but parent council fortunately raised enough money for the playground with a little left over so parent council and Erskine rec board decided to get together and buy a sign so that they could post coming events for the school and community. But before purchasing a sign, parent council sent a survey out to parents first to get their opinion. The results were 34 no and 29 yes. Parent council then decided that some of the money left over for the playground will be used to purchase more picnic tables.

Erskine rec board will still be discussing about purchasing their own sign in their next March meeting.

Erskine School will be hosting a family dance on Friday April 16.

Erskine School is thinking about a future play school for 3- and 4-year- olds. If this is something of interest to you, then come to the next parent council on March 9 to voice your opinion.

Soldiers in Afghanistan who received the package sent from Erskine School were overwhelmed with the generosity that came from Erskine. They really appreciated all the goodies and things that people sent to them. Hopefully, Erskine will be able to do this again sometime in the future.
