Ranch rodeo date set for June 4

The Donalda Municipal Library held its annual meeting on March 3. Board members are Lois Scarrow (president), Yvonne Larson (vice-president), Terry Nordahl, Jeanne Pearson, Marion Holtner, Kellie Andres, Judy Swaren and Debbie MacGoughen.

There is free internet access available at the library. Use their computers or bring your own laptop and use the high speed wireless connection. Story Time/FCSS After School Program (ASP) will be Friday March 25 and April 8 from 2:20 – 5 p.m. in the Sharon Lutheran Church Basement. April 8 will be the last ASP date for this school year. Don’t forget to check out the web site donaldalibrary.prl.ab.ca for more information regarding our own library as well as the Parkland Regional Library system. The library is now closed on Fridays.

The Donalda Ag Society has set the date for the annual ranch rodeo as Saturday, June 4. More information regarding the ranch rodeo will follow in the weeks to come.

The Donalda Friendship Coulee Drop-in Center’s next regular Bingo will be Wednesday March 30 at 7:30 p.m. and everyone is welcome. The drop-in is also open every Saturday from 1:30 to 4 for games, pool, cards and visiting. Snacks and coffee served, which is also open to everyone.

Donalda’s volunteer appreciation night is set for Saturday, April 30 at 6 p.m. It will be a potluck supper (meat will be provided) with a guest speaker as well as local music. This is to honour all volunteers in the community.

Congratulations to Kelly Halseth, Brent Schweer, Alden Mueller, Frank Sutton, Orest Didow, Zachary Fisher and Jordie Norman, who are celebrating their birthdays this week.
