Botha Booster
On March 11, starting at 8:30 p.m. join the Old-Time Dance Club at the Botha Hall, for their Saint Patrick's Dance. Please wear something green in color for this dance. The Grassroot Band will provide the entertainment band for this evening; so please bring something to share for this potluck event and come on out for a great evening of entertainment. Everyone is welcome to come on out and have fun.
Later on March 28, starting at 9:30 a.m., come on out and join the quilting group for another entertaining and relaxing time of quilting. This is a great way to do some quilting with friends and family and do some visiting. Everyone is welcome to attend. Join them at the Botha Seniors' Centre.
Everyone that has any birthdays or any special events coming up like anniversaries, anyone in and out of the hospital, welcoming a new baby into this world, etc, please contact me so I can add it to our column. Pictures are also welcome. I would love to add anything to our column about Botha happenings. So please contact me and thank you.
Due to the cold weather on March 1, the parent council meeting was put off until the March 15 and for that date weather permitting only.
This meeting will be taking place at 7:30 p.m. at the Botha School Library. Hopefully, the weather will break up by then and start warming up some. Everyone is welcome to come out and attend this meeting.
Time for church services have changed from 11 a.m. to 9 a.m. every Sunday morning. Come on out and worship with them at 9 a.m. Everyone is invited out to attend with Reverend Susan Bowyer officiating.
On March 15, come on out for a great game of Bingo. This is Early Bird Bingo so the numbers start flying at 7:15 p.m. and held at the seniors' centre. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Family Fun Skate will be taking place (weather permitting) on Friday March 18 at the arena from 2:30 to 6 p.m.
The Centennial meeting will be taking place on Thursday, March 10, starting at 3:30 p.m. at the seniors' centre. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information please contact Sherri at 403-742-8314. The centennial celebration will be taking place on July 29 -31.
