There will be the County of Stettler Community Service Awards Jan. 15 held at Linda Hall this year, we hosted them last year. There are awards going to people of our community, so be sure to get your tickets from the County of Stettler office. The ice at the arena has been put to good use since being completed December 21. If you have any questions please contact Ryan at 403 742 2559 or Murray at 403 742 8784, as they are caring for the arena this year. The ice will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, though we are not handing out keys this year, we are still having the family passes for $25 to cover expenses.

Botha school kids will be using the arena for the next couple of weeks. The Botha Senior Centre continues with carpet bowling Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m., floor curling is Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., military whist resumes this month, as well they will be hosting Bingo on Jan.19, the doors open at 6:30 p.m. The Old-Time Dance Club is kickin’ it up on Jan. 31, this is an afternoon dance beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The Botha United Church continues to hold worship at 11 a.m.on Sundays.

That’s it for Botha this week. Have a great day.
