Orange Shirts will draw attention to Canada's First Nations

This Friday, Sept. 30 is Orange Shirt day to raise awareness of First Nation Children who were forced to attend residential schools.

WILDCATS' CORNER -- Terry Fox Day was on Monday, Sept. 26. Fun was had by all students. There were many games played, by all junior high students, in their TA’s for points. Fred Fox, Terry Fox’s brother, came in the morning to talk to the elementary and junior high students.

The Lady Wildcat basketball team had their fundraiser on Saturday. Awesome prizes were awarded by many local businesses. Cross-country had their first meet on Thursday in Camrose.

Congratulations to all who participated. The senior high volleyball teams had a tournament this past weekend.

This Friday, Sept. 30 is Orange Shirt day to raise awareness of First Nation Children who were forced to attend residential schools. Please wear an orange shirt that day. The Students’ Union will be going on their retreat to the Stettler Recreation Centre today to plan the fun activities for the year.

The play this year is called “Almost, Maine.” It is a play about falling in and out of love. Auditions have ended and the cast list has been posted. The first rehearsal was last Wednesday. The play will be performed on Wednesday, Nov. 30 to Saturday, Dec. 3.

Coffee House will be happening this Friday, Sept. 30 after school. The Coffee House is a great way for students to show off their skills and talents.
