No halloween party this year

There will be a centennial meeting this Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Botha Community Hall beginning at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Please watch for the Canadian Diabetes volunteers that will be out and about to try to raise money for a very good cause.

The Botha Seniors’ Centre continues with carpet bowling Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m., floor curling is Thursdays at 7 p.m. Starting again next week there will also be floor curling at 1:30 p.m. but because our floor curlers are away this Thursday, Oct. 22, there is only the 7 p.m. session, and military whist Monday, Nov. 16. As well they will be hosting bingo on Oct. 27, the doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The Old Time Dance Club is kick’n up their heals Sunday, Oct. 25, this is an afternoon dance with a supper to follow, so ladies please bring salad or dessert.

The Botha United Church will continue to hold services at 1 p.m. on Sunday for the month of October.

The Botha Community Centre will not be hosting a Halloween party this year as it falls on a Saturday and let’s face it, we are not recovered from “raise the roof” yet.

That’s it for Botha this week, have a great day.
