ERSKINE ENQUIRER -- Well, I think the contractors have dug at the Erskine Post Office for the last time so there is full access at last. While speaking to the foreman, he said that they will be taking two weeks off at Christmas and hope to finish up by the end of January. And then they will be back in the spring to repair the roads.
There will be no dance jam for the month of December and hopefully they will resume in January. Crib, games night and canasta will continue at the Seniors Centre.
Coming up at the school for the month of December: Friday, Dec. 9 is blanket day; Wednesday, Dec. 14 is the Junior High Drama Night at 7 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 16 is ugly sweater day; and the Christmas concert is on Monday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. Christmas break begins on Wednesday, Dec. 21 and the first day back is Wednesday, Jan. 4.
On Sunday, Dec. 18 there will be hot cocoa, a fire and Christmas carols at the Erskine United Church and on Friday, Dec. 23 there will be the Christmas Eve Service at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Lunch and fellowship will follow after the service.
