New faces at kindergarten

The Grade 9 started off the year with a field trip to World Skills competition in Calgary last week.

It was a very hot day but they were able to see some of the world’s top competitors in many different trades. The competition took place all week on the stampede grounds. Besides witnessing the different competitions they were also able to try out some of the trades and see if they liked some of the hands on booths. World Skills was a great experience for these students. One day wasn’t enough to see all of the different skills and trades but it was a great way for young minds to get thinking about their future.

Kindergarten got underway on Tuesday with new little faces entering Erskine school and looking forward to experiencing what school is like for the first time.

Sept. 29 is Parent Council at 7 p.m. in the library, this is for all parents whose children attend Erskine school. They will be putting on their 3rd annual home based business fair this November to coincide with the student- led conferences. It will be on the first night of interviews. The exact date and cost per table along with other details will be discussed at Parent Council. If you would like to participate you can come and attend parent council to book a table or call Jodi at (403) 742-3562.
