Museum has new manager

Donalda Diary

The Donalda & District Museum Board has hired Darlene Tantrum as the museum manager.

Darlene was the Museum Manager about ten years ago and is happy to be back in a job she loved. Stop in and say hi to Darlene and if you have anything you want to get into the Donalda Diary news, phone Darlene at the Museum at 403-883-2100 and she will get it into the column.

The museum is also in the process of interviewing for two summer student positions, one to start in early May.

The Donalda Coulee Friendship Club has cancelled the pancake breakfast and music jam that was to be held on the second Sunday of May which happens to be Mother’s Day. The next scheduled pancake breakfast and music jam will be June 12, the second Sunday of the month. Hope to see everyone there.

Second annual Relay For Life Ukrainian Supper is Sunday, May 14, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Donalda Hall. There will be live and silent auctions. Come out and support TEAM PAT (people against tumors) walking in support of Pat Kneeland. If anyone is interested in donating any items for the auction, please phone Jodi 403-883-2330 or Teresa 403-883-2780.

Donalda’s Volunteer Appreciation Night is Saturday, April 30 from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Donalda Hall. This is to honour all volunteers.

Congratulations go out to John Pearson, Ross Halseth, Andrew Kneeland, Darrin Hebbes and Jerry Crumly who celebrated their birthdays this past week.
