Mark your calendars for Wild Pink Yonder

The Donalda Community Arts Society welcomes the Lorne Family exhibit.

DONALDA DIARY -- The Donalda Community Arts Society welcomes the Lorne Family exhibit. This art exhibition features acrylic paintings, and wonderful metal artworks. The gallery will be open daily from 10 a.m to 5 p.m., everyone is welcome to visit.

The next Red Lamp Market will be held on Sunday, Aug. 21 from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. rain or shine. For more information please call Amanda at 403-741-6095.

The Wild Pink Yonder is coming to Donalda Friday, Aug 26. Wild Pink Yonder is a breast cancer research fundraising organization which organizes a 23 day/town/village trail ride during August. All funds raised go to the Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta. This year is the eighth and final year of the rides and Donalda is lucky enough to be one of the villages taking part.

There will be two ride times, the first is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the other at 1 to 4 p.m. There will also be a “Pink-Nic” dinner on Main Street hosted by Teresa’s Catering from 5 to 7 p.m. To finish off the day, there will be a drive in movie featuring ‘Cat Ballou’ with gates opening at 7 p.m. and the movie beginning at dusk, with a full concession available.
