Many visitors in the community last week, poker rally on Feb. 19 - Gadsby/Westwoods

Best wishes to Stan Ettinger, who lost his garage to fire last week.

Fire crews from both Stettler and Halkirk were on hand and able to contain the fire to one building. Stan suffered burns to his hands and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Diane Baird enjoyed a weekend visit from her mom and dad, Ed and Liz Uhran, from Saskatchewan. They were unable to head east on the gravel roads, on their way home, due to the drifting on the weekend, but managed to make it to the highway and safely home.

And Shirley Reynolds enjoyed a visit from daughter Kathy to help Shirley celebrate her birthday. Happy birthday, Shirley.

We wish Lorna McKay best wishes as she settles into her new residence. Lorna has moved to Heart Haven Lodge where she is getting reacquainted with old friends.

Please mark Feb. 19 for the poker rally at Westwoods for Bob Detrich as it read incorrect last week. For more information, contact Pat at 403 323 0412.

And don’t forget the family Valentine’s Dance in Gadsby at the community hall on Saturday, Feb. 12, from 7:30 to 11 p.m.; music by Barry and Colleen Hill.

Ladies, please bring lunch!
