BYEMOOR/ENDIANG NEWS -- A busy weekend of entertainment is coming up next weekend — April 15 – 17. Be sure to take in some or all of this fine entertainment, it's close to home and inexpensive.
The Byemoor Bull-a-rama kicks things off Friday evening, April 15. Doors open at the Endmoor Arena at 6 p.m. with a mini trade show and beef-on-a-bun. Bull bustin' goes at 7:30 p.m. and a dance follows at 10 p.m.
Byemoor Hotel is hosting a steak barbeque from 4 – 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening, ahead of the Bull-a-rama.
In Endiang, on Saturday April 16 it's the western music show of Charlie Ewing and The Queen's Cowboys on stage at the community hall. Doors open at 6:30 and show starts at 7 p.m.
Then on Sunday, April 17 its The Joyful Melody Trio, a gospel music group, will be performing at the Scapa Hall. Show starts at 2 p.m. Tickets (which include lunch) are available from Peggy at 403-854-4672 or Thelma at 403-854-2393.
Brad Stiles topped the crib scores at the Endmoor Drop-in Centre on Tuesday evening. He had a perfect score, having won all his games. Mickey Tucker captured second place.
Crib goes every Tuesday evening at the drop-in centre but will be wrapping up soon. The wind-up will be on April 26 with a potluck supper and prize presentation.
Congratulations to Justin and April (Mappin) Aspden of Alix on the birth of their second daughter Grace Anne Aspden on March 30. Grace weighed seven pounds and is a little sister for Soley.
Congratulations also to the local grandparents Skip and Anita Mappin.
Sandi Hodgson of Melfort, Sask. was a recent visitor with Kirk and Twila Buchwitz and boys.
Maureen Wasdal was the guest of honour at a 60th birthday party at the Byemoor Hotel on Saturday evening. Congratulations on this milestone birthday, hope you enjoyed your party, Maureen.
The family of Buster Walker gathered at the Club Café in Stettler on Sunday for a belated 89th birthday celebration. Buster's birthday was Feb. 1, but it worked better to get all family together at this later date.
Get well wishes go out to Art Wasdal in the Stettler hospital. Hope you are feeling better, Art.
There will be a bridal shower for Samantha Huskinson, bride-to-be of Tyler Stulberg, on Sunday, May 1 at 2 p.m. at the Endiang Community Hall.
