With just a couple short weeks left of the Summer Reading Program, don’t miss out on all the fun events going on here at the Library. As we are nearing the end of the summer make sure you get your Reading Logs in as our Reading Challenge is nearing its end! Please have all Reading Logs handed in by Aug. 22 so we can determine the top three readers.

Next week’s theme will be Art Week. Every day our events will bring out your artistic side. On Aug. 13 our Teen Cooking Club will make cake pops that can be decorated any way you like. Event starts at 3:30 p.m. for ages 13 and up, please call to pre-register. On Aug. 15 we will have puppies in the library. That’s right, puppies. St. John’s Ambulance will be bringing their therapy dogs to the library to teach us about what they do, and of course, you will get to cuddle with them. This event is open to all ages and starts at 2 p.m.

Let’s paint! What better way to celebrate art week than with some painting? On Aug. 16 join us at the library to paint your own pet themed ceramic cookie jars. Please call to pre-register. This event starts at 10:30 a.m. for ages six to eight, and at 12:30 p.m. for ages nine to 12. And don’t forget about Friday films, with “Home on the Range.” The movie will start at 2 p.m., come have some popcorn and enjoy.

Do you love Nerf? Then pre-register for our last Nerf war of the summer. Bring eye protection and your own gun if you have one, but the Library has extra guns if needed. This event runs from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
