BOTHA BOOSTER -- Where did the year go? We are already moving into December which means several things.

BOTHA BOOSTER -- Where did the year go? We are already moving into December which means several things. First, I would like to mention there will be no Old Tyme Dance the last Sunday of December. Instead it will be on New Years' Eve, in order to celebrate the old year out and to welcome the new year in with family and friends at this special dance. So please contact Doug Haustein at 403-742-3994 or John Blonski at 403-574-3194 and get your tickets now. This dance will be an exciting way to welcome the new year, so you don't want to miss out all the fun.

Starting at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7 there will be turkey bingo, with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Centre, so you might want to be a part of this exciting bingo evening.

Don't forget every Wednesday morning starting at 10 a.m. is coffee hour. So come on out to the Senior Centre that special day of the week and join your friends over a hot cup of fresh coffee and a visit. Coffee hour usually goes throughout the holiday season so please come and share in the warmth.

Every Thursday afternoon is floor curling time and everyone is welcome to attend. This one event usually closes down closer to the holiday season so please ask a member if you aren't sure whether it is on or not.

Quilting takes place on Monday, Dec. 12 starting at 9:30 a.m. and this might be the last session until the holiday season is over. The art of quilting has kept a lot of members busy the second and last Mondays of the month, so if you want to join in the last sesssion, please be there on Dec. 12, when everyone will be enjoying their quilting time.

Every Tuesday afternoon is carpet bowling time, when you can join your friends in a fun game. So please come on out until the holiday season. It usually starts at 1 p.m.

The ice arena opens up during the holiday season for when the children are out for their break, so watch out for this.

If you're looking for a great hall to rent, make sure you phone Shawn Derr at 403-742-4811, to reserve your spot now.

Also the date of the Christmas concert at school will soon be announced. Do get out and enjoy the entertainment that evening as your children are working hard now to make this an excellent concert to attend.
