ERSKINE ENQUIRER -- The Erskine Ladies' Bonspiel ended on Sunday with 32 rinks participating. In the A Event, winners were Daylon Rairdan, Brett Bignell, Deneen Brown and Diane Rattray. Congratulations, ladies! Second was the Lois Wells team, third Carolyn Skaley and fourth was Karen Armstrong. The second event was won by Lorna Sinclair, Jane Jackson, Jody Fisher and Dixie LaRose. Second in that event was Lynn Douglas, third was Mel Gish, and fourth was Karen Pennock. Winners of the third event was Susan Haustein, Donna MacKenzie, Patty Dunn and Sheryl Osterud. Second was Nancy Bauman, Lindsay Thorsen was third and Tammy Love came in fourth.

The men's bonspiel starts March 13th and there is still room for more teams.

The Erskine Seniors' Dance Jam will be this Sunday, March 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. Come and join in the fun, the music, the dancing, and the lunch and visiting.

Coming up on Saturday, March 19 is the fourth annual spaghetti supper put on by the IOOF. Supper begins at 4:30 p.m.

The painting is complete at the seniors' centre and now the new floor will be laid. The old building is really sprucing up and will be a comfortable place to play cards as well as pool and shuffleboard. The knitting club and quilting club also use the facilities. And it is an ideal place for showers or meetings. Anyone wishing to book the centre can phone me at 403-742-4561 or 403-742-0604.

The Erskine Post Office will be closed on Good Friday, March 25 as well as Easter Monday, March 28th. No mail will arrive from Edmonton on those days.

In the CARA basketball, Erskine girls won third and the boys won first. Congratulations to both teams. They will both go to CWAJAHA in Rocky Mountain House — we wish them luck and will be cheering them on.
