Stettler Kinettes were busy last Saturday, May 1, the national Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Day both raising both awareness on the disease and funds to fight it.

One activity of the club was their second annual Pub Putt and Crawl for CF.

“Although we did not succeed in filling our bus we had a great turn out and picked up a few people on the way,” said Isaac Han, one of the organizers.

“I would say that our event was a success and we will hopefully be doing this annually.”

As part of their day long ride, those who got on the CF bus stopped by several restaurants and pubs in the town and played mini golf.

In another event, several Kinette members held up cars at the Highway 12 Main Street intersection to raise funds for research against CF.

The highway hold-up continued for about two hours and Teressa Sims of Kinettes said they had managed to raise $2,081.37 in their campaign.
