Justina Nibourg reporting from Germany

JUSTINA NIBOURG/Wildcat Corner

Germany is beautiful and different. It has been lots of fun. The school is different; it is very colourful but a lot more strict and stressful for the students. Everyone is very nice and their English is very good. There are four floors and a small cafeteria. When a class needs to raise money, they hold a bake sale and other students come out and support them. The gym is in another building and a couple of us have been to gym class and we had to do aerobic step dancing. All of us have either helped with a grade 4 or 8 English class. They love us and they asked for our autographs. School starts 7:50 so we all have to be up early to make it to school. There is less options so students get early days and they can leave at 1:10.

Last week we went on a tour of Berlin and we got to see the Reichstag and the Berlin wall. We also went to Potsdam, where we toured castles for a day and we were very tired that night from all the walking. We went to a soccer game in Rostock and we watched the crazy fans. They were not lying when they told us there fans jump up and down all game and they love to sing.

Domenic, one of the German exchange students, said soccer and beer go together like fries and ketchup. The soccer game was lots of fun.

On Monday we went to a chocolate shop and got to make chocolate, but we mostly ate it!

On Wednesday we took a ferry to Denmark and we were only supposed to be there for ten minutes but as we were about to get back on the ferry, it took off! So we had to wait in this small, deserted town for two hours!

That’s all for now, but I am sure that you’ll will hear more exciting stories when we get back.
