It was a weekend of birthday parties - Endiang Enterprise

The snowmobile poker rally sponsored by the Sullivan Lake West Ag. Society had a good turnout despite the colder temperatures on Sunday.

There were approximately 150 snowmobilers participating who took out 602 hands. The winning hand belonged to Ryan Gallagher with five sixes, taking home a payout of $489.

Robert and Sheila Buchwitz arrived home Wednesday from a month stay in Mazatlan, Mexico.

We extend sympathy to Dale and Dee Green and family on the passing of Dee’s mother Joyce Stock in Stettler on Jan. 24 at the age of 79 years. This wonderful lady will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Congratulations to cousins Lois Ballinger and Buster Walker who each celebrated their 84th birthdays with a luncheon and social at the Endiang Hall on Saturday. Lois is the eldest of the Lloyd Walker family and Buster is the eldest of the Harry Walker family. Best wishes for many more happy birthdays to you both.

Lynne Longshore was the guest of honour at a surprise 50th birthday party on Saturday evening hosted at the home of her daughter Tanis Longshore. Best wishes for another 50, Lynne.

It seems it was the weekend for celebrating birthdays, as Jack Oickle celebrated his first birthday with a family gathering at the farm of his grandparents Rod and Lynnette Schellenberg.

Jim Wasdal is home from a snowmobiling excursion with friends to Revelstoke, B.C.

Mike Keith, Gary and Dolores Pearson, Lyle and Shannon Knowles and Jonathon and Raelynn Knowles were to Calgary on Sunday for the funeral of their niece and cousin Marian’s husband Jim Smith. He was 59. Our thoughts are with the family
