Ideal conditions for snowmobile poker rally - Endiang Enterprise

The abundant snow this winter will be excellent for the snowmobile poker rally being hosted by the Sullivan Lake West Agricultural Society on Jan. 30.

Registration begins 8 a.m. at the arena in Byemoor and all hands must be in by 4:30 p.m. More information may be obtained from Byron at 403-579-2174 or 403-740-5247 or Rob at 403-579-2228 or 403-740-6162.

Congratulations to Jim and Maureen Wasdal, whose volunteer work with the Sullivan Lake West Ag Society was recognized at the county’s community service awards at Nevis on Friday evening.

Sympathy is extended to the Raessler and Sorensen families on the death of William Raessler in an automobile accident in southern Alberta Jan. 21. William and Dellas Raessler were enroute to the southern States where they had planned to spend the winter. We also send get well wishes to Dellas as she recovers from her injuries.

The Endmoor atom hockey team hosted a tournament on Sunday in Byemoor with teams coming from Three Hills and Alix. Congratulations to the Endmoor team on winning the tournament. Local player Jesse Jack got a hat- trick.

Ken and Eleanor Schultz have returned from a vacation to the Riviera Maya in Mexico. They were accompanied by John and Jacky Chop of Calgary. It certainly can be a small world as they ran into a couple of former Endiang residents there; Jim and June Maxwell and George and Peggy (Ackerman) Byatt.

Lois Ballinger and Buster Walker are having a joint birthday party at the Endiang Hall on Jan. 29 with a noon luncheon and all are most welcome to attend.
