• Stettler appears to be fortunately situated, being free from cyclones in summer and blizzards in winter, with soil rich in agricultural possibilities, and a never-ending supply of coal and water. The town, which is only four years old, has a population of 2,000 with four elevators, two banks, a public school, stores, mills, five churches and three hotels. It is on the line of the CNR and the CPR. The slogan adopted by the town is “Stettler, heart of Alberta - beats ‘em all” and from descriptions and illustrations, seems to be well chosen. - Gananoque Reporter
