BIG VALLEY BULLETIN -- The Big Valley Fire Department is very excited to announce that they have finally purchased and have in their possession the long awaited extrication equipment. They would like to take this opportunity to express their appreciation to everyone who helped with this huge undertaking. Now, the training for this equipment can begin. We all hope they will never have to use it except in practice.

The long anticipated grand opening of the Big Valley Historical Society's new Tool Museum is scheduled for Sunday, May 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. Speeches and the ribbon cutting will take place at 1 p.m. followed by the public viewing and some light refreshments, with door prizes being drawn throughout the afternoon.

Have you had to stop doing some of the activities you enjoy because of joint pain or dizziness? Have you had a knee or hip replacement and don't think you can safely enjoy some of your hobbies such as gardening or floor curling? How to Safely Live an Active Lifestyle is scheduled for Wednesday, March 16 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Big Valley Drop-in Centre. Come out for an information session, plus a question and answer with a licensed physiotherapist. You may be surprised to find out how a few minor changes can make a major difference. There is no charge for this event.

The Big Valley Drop-in Centre's scheduled pot luck lunch has been cancelled due to the March 17 stew luncheon at the Legion. Instead the drop-in will be holding a meeting only beginning at 1 p.m.
